    Yes, workshops are for parents, soon-to-be parents, grandparents, caregivers, and health professionals. We offer a wide range of workshops for all ages.

  • What can I expect from the workshop?

    Workshops are packed with current topics and resources supported by the latest research on childhood nutrition to help guide you through all the key stages of a child's life. Class sizes are capped.

  • Who's leading the workshops?

    Workshops are led by an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), university educator and mother. Learn more about your dietitian here.

  • How long and often are the workshops?

    Each workshop meets once for 60 minutes.

  • How much is each workshop?

    Each workshop is $50, unless sponsored as a free, community event.

  • Where do the workshops meet?

    Workshops either meet face-to-face in Rhode Island or virtually through Zoom. Check the registration details below.

  • Pregnancy: "Eating for two"

    Join our interactive workshop for pregnant mothers to gain essential skills and resources for a healthy pregnancy. We’ll explore current food, nutrient, and supplement guidelines, tackle common food challenges during pregnancy, address common health and weight concerns, and explore answers to your questions.

  • 1st Year: "Surviving to thriving"

    Join us for this interactive workshop to explore the most current research for what, when, and how to transition to complementary solid foods, how to prevent common food allergies, and tried-and-true strategies to nourish both the adults and new baby in your family. Establishing healthy feeding habits through responsive feeding practices will be discussed with time for questions.

  • Toddlerhood: "New foods, changing moods"

    Join us for this interactive workshop to explore how best to feed and parent through the formidable toddler years. Whether you are joining us to prevent or resolve common feeding issues such as picky eating, sneaky eating, or mealtime behaviors, you will learn the skills to overcome common pitfalls and nourish the quirky toddler who is learning how to become a joyful eater. This workshop is developed around children from 1 to 3 years of life.

  • Early school-aged: "Picky to joyful eaters"

    Join us for this interactive workshop to explore how best to let go and trust your growing child’s eating as we unravel the surprising capabilities and developmental milestones to raise a joyful eater. You will learn the skills to overcome common eating pitfalls, how to support family-friendly eating habits, and discuss skill development for increased autonomy. This workshop is developed around children from 4 to 9 years of life.

  • Adolescence: "Eating for life"

    Join us for this interactive workshop to explore how nutrition can support physical, mental, and emotional health during this time of rapid growth and change. We will discuss specific nutrient needs unique to adolescence, how to support a healthy body image and prevent eating disorders, and the delve into nutrient timing and sports nutrition for active adolescents to fuel activities and promote recovery. This workshop is developed around 10-18 year-olds.
